We went to the island for the second time. Interestingly enough when we arrived, Klint told us, that Desmond had paid our fee. That alone wasn’t good in my eyes already. Here no one does something, without not wanting something in return. But no time for that. Kleckser had his meeting with the council, and we went to look around again. After he returned, he told us that the council just told him, not to interfere with their official business and to make a name for ourselves, by accepting quests, or just listen around in the bar. When we did, we met Desmond. Of course he wanted something from us. He wanted us to get rid of someone for him. We had to agree, as more people than just myself sneaked onto his ship and he saw this opportunity to settle the score. We went around the different cities, looking for the “traitor” finally finding her in Lumiere. It was Jane. Now I didn’t write about Jane in my last note, but she gave me some information about Desmond, or as I knew him before meeting him, the crimson Shadow. She told me about some rivalry between him and the fairies, but not much more. And now he wanted her dead. While it seemed weird to me, I also didn’t want to start a fight against that guy. That would just be bad resource management. But the rest decided otherwise. They chose to fake her death, giving Desmond some of her blood instead. Iatros even gave her the chance to live at her tree. After that we went back to Desmond to tell him that we finished his commission, before looking around for more work. That’s when we met Augusta. She was completely drunk, boasting about some hidden treasure she found. Too bad for her, as she accidentally told us the exact location of where her treasure was buried. We found it in front of Augusto’s house, giving us our first Doubloons. Also, during the whole thing, Neric kept going on about how he wanted a raise while not even getting paid.

In the following week, Timmy decided to visit me again. This time we went out of my base to have a picknick. I feel like she had some kind of ulterior motive for that, but I just can’t pinpoint it. Anyways, after she left again another guest arrived. A fairy, looking for a sponsor for some kind of game. I gave her some diamonds, hoping that this investment might pay off.
