Thorn awoke in the middle of a giant field of flowers. It was night, judging by all the stars in sky, but he had no idea how he got here. Before he could stand up, a voice started talking inside his head. “Heed my call Emanator of Life.” He knew that voice. Standing up and turning around, he saw the imaginary tree, glowing more than ever. “Your goddess requires your help once again. The-” Before she could say more, he cut her off: “300 years. It’s been 300 years since we last had contact and you start by needing me again. What happened to all those times when I asked for your help. Where were you then. That tone of simplicity, as if everything she said was just common knowledge and not worth explaining. “Don’t bullshit me. Back in the day you also contacted me more than that. What the hell actually happened.” A few minutes of silence, before she finally answered: “Back then my power got drastically drained by that man, before you killed him. I had to reserve energy, or the sea could have taken over.” Although her tone never changed, the explanation made enough sense to Thorn. “Okay. Now, why did you call me here?” “As I was saying, there’s something terrible happening. Someone in your world is trying to change the laws of the world. While I do not know who it is, I need you to stop them. Otherwise, this could spell doom and corruption for this world.” Now this was something he hadn’t expected. Someone changing the laws of a world is seen as one of the worst crimes in his eyes, as it always leads to corruption. Afterall, how can a world continue as normal, if the laws it was build on don’t exist anymore. “I understand. I’ll make sure to stop whoever is responsible for such a crime.” With those words, the world around him started to slowly fade away, as he woke back up in his base…
