Case 4 (Welcome back Detective)

I found a weird letter in my mail. The person that wrote it called me an old friend. He knows that I lost my memories of everything that happened before I met Kleckser in the last dimension. How does he know that? Who is he? He calls himself Mr. D, but I know that’s just an acronym. But he offers me help to regain my memories, so I won’t complain. But now I understand why I felt like someone was wating me the last few days. He gave me some plan of a device I apparently designed before I lost my memories. He says that it can story a copy of the users memories inside of specific items called memory crystals. He gave me the plans to build the machine as well as the first memory crystal, the Memory of Creation. I don’t have any idea, why I should trust him, but this is the best shot to regain my memories. So, I went along with his instructions and build the machine. It is a giant white crystal. Surrounded by 4 pillars. But I’m a little scared to use it. What if it’s just a trap to get rid of me? I will try to find someone that can help me to better understand it. But this is not the only thing that concerns me. Many people have gone missing over the last few weeks. The list gets longer every week. - Maple (deceased/killed) - Mark/Poison (missing) - Grog (missing) - Goggles (deceased) - Qael Satide (missing) I know what happened to Maple and Goggles, but the others are still a mystery. Maple was the first to go missing. During the raid I learned that he was killed by Wanderer. But why did he kill him? Was Maple asking to many questions about his past? I probably will never get to the bottom of this case, as I value my life more than this one answer. Grog and Poison have gone missing around the same time. Apparently, all of Poisons belongings vanished along with him. Could this have something to do with the frequency changes in the world? Maybe the sudden change in frequency killed Marks symbiod and him as well as he was fused with that thing. The loss of all of his belongings prompted Wanderer that was living with Poison to find a new place to stay. From what I’ve heard the Butterfly took him in and he now lives with Iatros. That’s good as he seems a lot calmer when he’s around her. Goggles was the next to go missing, but after some investigation it seems that he got killed by his own crystal. There were traces of blood all around it. My best working theory right now is that the crystal had a small implosion when the frequency of the world changed, and Goggles was standing to close. As for Qael Satide his status is still unknown. I haven’t seen him since the first day. He probably got killed during a monster hunt, but there’s no evidence to prove his theory so I just categorised him as missing. The longer we stay in this world the weirder the situation gets. I’ll have to be more careful from now on.
