Case 3 (Raiders and Luck)
After a week had gone by, we decided to meet at the bonfire. But some people were missing. And I would find out what happened to one of the missing members soon enough. While we were explaining what had happened during the week to each of us
Iatros introduced us to her new “friend”. A giant butterfly that was apparently a spirit that wanted to help
Iatros. Well, if it’s no threat I won’t say anything against it. At least it protects the
child. We decided to talk to
Rex for more information about this world. But after we got into the village raiders attacked us. We managed to defeat them. But I was still wondering, why they even attacked us in the first place. We asked
Rex and he told us that it was a big problem, as the raiders had a camp close to the village. He tasked us with destroying the camp. He was right. The camp was pretty close to the village. The camp had a basement that was locked, so we raided the tower to look for the keys. After finding them we went into the dungeon. It was dark and gloomy, cell after cell but no prisoners inside. It was nothing new for me, but it seems that this was the first time that
Iatros had seen something like that. She seemed scared and probably wondered how someone could do something like that. We went deeper into the dungeon and found a big room with someone (probably the warden) standing in the middle of it. There were villagers inside cages hanging from the ceiling. We went inside to confront the warden, but it was a trap. After we stepped into the room the gates behind us closed and we were forced to fight to the death. After a small battle it was easy to tell that the warden was out of his league, as we were too many to fight him at the same time. After he was killed, he dropped 2 levers. We used these to open the gate. But they also opened another path that wasn’t there before. It led to another prison cell. And oh my god, are you kidding me. There was Mr. Lucky, just casually riding a minecart on top of rainbow bricks. After he saw us, he got out of the minecart, destroyed the bars of his cell with a pickaxe, dropped us the key to his cell and went back into his cell. HE EVEN PLACED REPLACED THE BARS THAT HE DESTROYED JUST SECONDS AGO. You know sometimes I really have to ask how he survives by himself, but then I remember that he has INSANE luck. Someone opened the door with the key and Mr. Lucky thanked us for freeing him. He told us that he also jumped into the portal and ended up being captured by the raiders. I’m still wondering how he of all people could be captured by normal raiders. But he also had some weird shard. I should keep an eye on that shard. It seems important. He also switched from lucky blocks to change cubes. He gave us 3 prototypes of his strongest change cubes. Somehow, I got one of those prototypes. How strong will these things be? I’ll have to test this out later. After we left the dungeon Mr. Lucky had to show us some of his luck as he just flipped a random lever in the middle of nowhere and that made the dungeon explode. Again, how did this guy get captured? Anyways, after getting back to Town Mr. Lucky decided that he would open up his shop in town and keep the shard until we found some use for it.
Well, this was interesting. But if Mr. Lucky is here, maybe others also got through the portal. But let’s just keep that thought for later. When we got back from the camp
Wanderer told me something slightly disturbing. Apparently, he killed
Maple. I just shrugged it of during the rest of our conversation, but this tells me that my intuition was right. I have to be careful around him. But it seems like he is really protective of the
child. Maybe I can use that to my advantage. But I should just keep low for now.
