Case 24 (Rescue at Dawn)

Another Day, another weird adventure. Today we had to rescue Detective Foxs new apprentice. Honestly I didn‘t even know that he took on a new apprentice after I finished my apprenticeship, but here we are. Apparently his student got captured while exploring a dungeon in the dimension known as Everdawn. From what we could gather, the Everdawn is the exact opposite of the Everbright. Being filled with hostile creatures and kept in an eternal dawn. Now, as I haven‘t heard of these dimensions before visiting them, it might be a good idea to visit the library again, to find a book on myths. Maybe there‘s legends about these two dimensions. But back to the rescue. Iatros, Timmy, Kleckser, Andre, Neric and I entered the new dimension to rescue the apprentice. This time the portal wasn‘t anywhere random, but directly under the observatory, that Alex calls his own. We went in and exited on a cliff side, above a red forest. Using water to descent, we found a wizard tower just like the one in Everbright. Fighting our way up to the top, wasn‘t anything special and the so called Alchemist also didn‘t cause any problems. He dropped us some loot including a Dusk Arc that grants us the ability to become invisible while sneaking. After realizing that this was the wrong dungeon, and that we had basically completed a side mission, we went back to our main goal. On our way there we crossed lands with purple trees and grass, which Iatros seemed to love. Now judging from her reaction and the new color her tree got, it‘s save to assume that her favorite color is purple. After wandering a little while, we arrived at a dead tree, covered in cobwebs. A sign I already didn‘t like. Descending into the cave system below, just confirmed my thoughts. The dungeon was filled with spiders. Why out of every animal imaginable had there to be spiders in this specific dungeon?! Anyways, clearing the dungeon wasn‘t too hard. The floors were designed to confuse you with all their twists and turns, but after a few minutes we got a good idea of the layout, so it wasn‘t to hard to navigate. After finding all four keys we decided to face whatever boss this dungeon holds. And of course it was a giant spider. I honestly hate this whole thing. If I could I would just burn down the whole cave system including that thing. We dealt with that giant nuisance, but during the fight Iatros took a fatal blow. Luckily we got some soul protection potions before that, as I‘m not sure if that thing could have shattered her soul. After dealing with the giant arachnid, we freed the apprentice and I instantly got out of there. But before calling it a day, we went out to explore the dimension even further. The only new addition we found where dunes filled with white sand and crystals. There also were some camels that Iatros really liked and of course she tried to take one home, but sadly failed. After that we all went our separate ways again. A4 to C4
