Case 20 (Freezing Lies)

The third map piece lies with the Professor, but he won’t give us anything without doing some tasks for him first. He wants us to activate the mechanisms on both mountains that I visited some time ago. To stop us from shattering our souls he gave us some potions that protect our souls. We went towards the ice mountain first. I remembered to be careful, as the last time, I froze my arm off. And unsurprisingly, it was just as cold as back then. But to my surprise, as long as you didn’t touch the snow the cold was still bearable. We went along the path towards the top of the mountain. As we followed it, the encountered a jump and run, followed by a locked door at the end of the path. The jump and run gave us the key to open the door. Behind it was a floor of snow, followed by a door saying free cookies. Of course, the snow turned out to be pretty thin, so it couldn’t hold us when we stepped onto it. We fell down into a pit of water. There behind a door we found the protector of the mountain. A giant polar bear getting healed by two crystals. We destroyed the crystals first, as we quickly realized, that the crystal healed the bear so fast, that we basically did no damage. After destroying the crystals, dealing with the bear was pretty easy. After defeating him he dropped several things that weren’t really important. But there was one thing that stood out to me, and I’ll write down my notes at the end of this report. Before that though, we were teleported to the top of the mountain, finally facing the giant crystal on the mountain. The activation was swift and easy. Just by pressing a single button the dormant crystal awoke, firing a beam of light towards the portal, but not activating it. It seems that the second device must be activated first. But now to the most concerning part. The bear dropped an eye that looks just like the holy eye we found before. But Wanda told us that there’s only 4 and that the next one would be in the eastern mines. So why didn’t she tell us about this one. Could it be that this is some kind of fake, or did she truly lie to us? Both answers are possible at the current point in time. My problem is, that I can’t prove anything yet, as Andre took the eye. In my current State, it might be in my best interest not to cause any problems about this for now, so I’ll stay down and wait for a better opportunity. C1 to G5
