Case 17 (Bloody Tides)
We found
Timmy and the person that kidnaped her. And while
he didn’t kill her and apparently didn’t even think about that, as
him kidnapping her was only a test. But back to the beginning. Earlier this week
Chubs and I investigated the poem. This instantly brought us to some rock formations in the middle of the ocean. These seemed corrupted, as they looked completely black with some red spots, like the rocks themselves were covered in drops of blood. We decided not to enter the place itself, as it gave of some weird energy, as if even the air was corrupted. After scouting a little bit, we decided it would be too risky to stay any longer, as something felt off. Afterwards
Chubs gave me
Snows head in hope that I could heal it enough to make that scar go away, which was in the scope of my abilities. It was also clear that this was a trap setup for us. I also know that someone or something was watching everything we did that day.
On Sunday we came together with
Iatros and
Andre to get
Timmy back.
Chubs set up a teleport spell to the place, so the way over wouldn’t be a problem. When we arrived, we spilt up to cover both paths that presented themself. Looking back at it the way we split up wasn’t perfect, as I’m personally more of a healer and
Iatros, who went with me isn’t really a fighter while
Chubs and
Andre are definitely two fighters. After fighting through some monsters that were definitely summoned by dark magic and doing some parkour we arrived at the altar. As an interesting side note, as soon as we set foot on the altar the moon suddenly changed to blood red.
Chubs stayed behind to release the binding spells placed on
Timmy, while we confronted
the man behind it all. And looking back at some of the books I’ve read before,
he fit the profile. Calm and collected, set straight on
his target and nothing else, but with a determination not to let things get too boring. That’s why
he kidnapped
Timmy. To get us invested into
his little game. And while what
he does is honestly despicable, you’ve got to take what you get in this fight. And considering that
he gave us an olive branch instead of picking up everyone with blood one by one, I take this as a win. We got
Timmy back and we know why
he does it.
His partner,
boss, or whatever promised
him to get
him back home, after killing those with blood to spill. What I still find disrespectful though is that
he didn’t even have the decency to show up in person. Instead,
he just possessed some armor to talk to us. After
Chubs got rid of all the binding spells and
he went away, we decided to leave this place immediately.
Timmy now stays with
Iatros for the time being as she doesn’t feel safe in her own home.
As a last note, someone was watching us. And it wasn’t the
murderer, as
he talked to us directly. So that means that
the one who left the cyan rose, and the
murderer are completely different people. As I also need a name for
him, I’ll call
him Gin for now.
