Case 16 (The Gameshow)

I finished a project to make it up to the others. I decided to open up a detective agency to help everyone with their problems. If they ever have a case, they can just come to me for help if their stuck on something. But I also felt that I needed to lift everyone's spirits one last time as it seems that a storm is coming. So, I gathered questions and also got one question from each member of our little group. Some were easier, some were harder. I also put some games into the mix, so it wouldn’t get boring. The questions were put into 4 categories. Crafting, Story, Characters and World. The 4 games I made were dropper, rebuilder, hot-head and ice race. I must say the whole gameshow took a lot longer than I originally expected. While the gameshow was to lift their spirits, it also gave me some information I really needed. The questions were used to see, how much awareness the others had about their surroundings. How much they remembered about the world and our little adventures we had so far. But it was mostly to see how much awareness they have. Next the games ice race and hot-head were used to see how quickly they could react to sudden changes in their environment. Hot-head used the fast-changing layout of the floor combined with the lights indicating it, how fast the players could react. Now ice race didn’t have any fast-changing environment, but the players went fast enough that they quickly had to react to their surroundings. The last two games, dropper and rebuilder were used to test their memory and strategic thinking. Dropper was made to see how they would use the tools and rules I gave them to come out on top. Rebuilder was made to see if they could memorize a build and what tactic they would use to rebuild that as fast as possible. These games all gave me a rough scaling in each category. Now for the final scaling: Kleckser: While I’ve known Kleckser for a while now I never got around to actually scale his abilities. He got most of his points from the dropper, by eliminating other players. His ability to answer the questions was a little bit lower than the average. His skills in the other games were pretty average, which is understandable as an adventurer he needs a wide skill set, where he doesn’t need to dominate in one specific area. Timmy: As I already thought before, except for her specific lack of color Timmy is the most normal out of the group. Most of the games as well as the questions had her at last place. The really interesting part is that she actually placed third during the ice boat race and second in hot-head which tells me that at least her reactions are a little bit quicker than those of other people. Andre: It was a nice opportunity to get some more information on Andre as he spends most of his time in his cave. At least that is what he tells us. While pretty average at being able to answer the questions, he exceeded at dropper, hot-head and ice race. Which exceeded my expectations. I already knew that his awareness of his surroundings couldn’t be that great if he only spends time in his cave. He’s also shown on multiple occasions that his memory isn’t the best. But even with all that time in his cave his he still somehow managed to stay in the upper top with his strategic tactics and reaction time. The only test he really failed was rebuilder, but that isn’t surprising considering his bad memory. He once said that he survived on his own in search of his brother which could explain the strategic mindset and fast reaction time. Chubs: Honestly the most surprising out of all of them is probably Chubs. While I already suspected that he might be pretty good at keeping check of his surroundings, I highly underestimated his strategic mind and reaction speed. Me underestimating him honestly isn’t that surprising considering the attitude he had when we first met him. And while I already knew that his survival skills were elevated from our first dropper match, I didn’t think his whole skillset was that high. I might need more tests to see, how he uses those skills in different situations and how much of a threat he could become if provoked. Iatros: While Iatros did pretty average in most of the games except ice race where she had a time of 2 minutes, she exceeded my expectations in the questions department. While it always seems like she doesn’t really pay much attention to her surroundings, my observations during the gameshow tell me the exact opposite. Even as a child, her awareness seems higher than other children. Might be part of her ability to speak with nature. It might be interesting to show her the Lexica Botania, as this book seems to also resonate with the voices of nature. Augusto: Now my expectations for Augusto weren’t that high considering our first meeting. This is why it surprised me how good he actually kept up during some of my games and the questions themselves. Especially during rebuilder, as he nearly always finished second or third. His ability to answer some of the questions was also pretty good, considering he spend the least amount of time in this world. He might also be someone I should keep an eye on as he might hide more potential than I originally thought. Now after finishing the gameshow, Timmy invited us to her house to show us something. But when she entered her house, she just vanished. Once we got to her house, we found a blood circle on the floor of her house as well as something called the blood cocoon which vanished shortly after. When we investigated further, we also found something really disturbing. A riddle telling us, we only had 1 week to get Timmy back and Snows head. Whoever did this must have a sick mind and must be stopped. Judging from the evidence it also seems that this is the same person that killed Snow. Chubs and I decided to gather our thoughts and meet up later this week to investigate further, hoping that we won’t be too late to save Timmy. F1 to E1
