Case 15 (Natures Call)

As I needed a distraction from the current murder case I decided to further study the temple of whispers and its phantoms. During my trip to the temple, I decided to stop at the village we saved a few weeks ago. While it seems peaceful now, it’s still interesting how this little village nearly got overrun by bandits because of Orin’s little camp destruction. I’m also wondering where he went after showing us the way to the temple. We’ve seen all the other people we’ve met at least one more time, but Orin is just the mysterious man that instantly left after he fulfilled his side of the bargain. Who knows. Maybe this was also the last time that we will meet him. But considering everything I don’t think that’s the case. When I finally got to the temple to start my observation the sun was already starting to set. As I went inside, I realized something. The air in the temple felt lighter than the other times we went inside. It seems that after we defeated the ant, the temple finally started to heal. But the phantoms are still aggressive towards me. Sadly, I also couldn’t find out anything new about the phantoms and their behavior. But I found something else instead. When I went to visit the tree, it seemed healthier than before. As I got closer, I heard some kind of whisper calling out to me. The closer I got to the tree the louder it got. The whispers came from one of the roots. Or at least that’s what it seemed like. As I looked closer, I realized that the whispers didn’t actually come from the tree itself, but from a book buried under the root. It was a green book adorned with gold writing and details. As I cleaned off the dirt from the book its name slowly revealed itself. The Lexica Botania. An interesting name for a book buried in a temple. I decided that finding this book was enough to call my investigation a success. Once I got home, I started reading the book. It explained the usage of mana created by the nature of this world by using flowers. As I flipped through its pages, I realized how I could implement these mechanisms and flowers into one of my projects and it would also elevate the design of my base. This book would bring the base of the first support crystal. As I used the basic formulas to construct the garden, the book revealed more and more information. With the advanced knowledge I got to create a portal that while being too unstable to transport myself into the next dimension I was able to transport items. Those Items were always returned in an upgraded form. The book also explained a method of using mana to create something called terrasteel. I used this material to create the new support crystal. Now the first side tower of my base was adorned with a great green crystal. As I finished all the work, I realized that I missed the weekly meetup. While checking my mailbox I quickly realized that I had missed an investigation which was led by Andre. I need to do something to make it up for missing such an expedition. And I think I know exactly how to do that. As one last sidenote Project W came back positive. Which means that my hunch was right. D4 to D5
