Case 13 (Questions)

So, today's meeting was kind of interesting, but also useless. Everybody had questions and realized that now where we had the eye it would be the best time to start asking those. We decided to start with Professor Adler. After all a man with a giant library should have some knowledge on the situation at hand. And while some of those were indeed interesting, most of them didn’t help in the slightest. Sadly, my questions about what the phantoms exactly are and if something happened before we got here weren’t perfectly answered. The Professor has no idea about what the phantoms are, and apparently nothing happened before we got here. The second answer just makes the instances of so many abandoned houses and the nearly empty village even weirder. I need to investigate this even further. Some more interesting questions were also asked, but I will list them at the end of this entry, as I want an easy way to check the answers if I ever need to. Now, after asking him all the questions we had, we went into the village to ask Wanda. She gave us some more meaningful answers as she was apparently the one that placed the eyes in their respective places. While she couldn’t tell me what kind of spirits these phantoms are, she at least confirmed that those things are actual spirits and not some machines. Another question I had concerned the temple of whispers, as I paid that location one more visit to see the actual room where we fought that insect. The tree as well as the grass seemed weird to me, the color didn’t feel natural and it just felt wrong looking at it. And from what Wanda answered it’s not supposed to be this way. That means that something or someone corrupted this place. This would also explain why the phantoms are now fighting us instead of evil. And while many more questions were asked, most of them weren’t interesting enough for me to spare my attention, as I was focused on other matters, but here are the most important questions and answers: What are the eyes, why are we collecting them and how many are there? The eyes are apparently part of a bigger structure that keeps a crystal together. But now that the eyes are missing, the crystal is destroyed, or shattering (not sure) and we need to get them back. There are 4 eyes in total. Why is the world dying? That’s apparently happening, because the crystal I mentioned before is holding the whole world together. Honestly this seems really stupid to me, but I can’t really do anything against the way this world works, so we have to deal with it. How long do we have until everything collapses? A few months. After that we decided to part ways again to meet next week. But before that I returned the jar with a part of myself to Timmy, so that it would be kept save if anything like that incident ever happens again. I also got the crystal from Andre which means I can start analyzing it to start my next investigation. I’ll call this investigation project W. D2 to D4
